Richard Hill - Chairman
Richard Hill is a qualified solicitor and geologist with over 18 years experience in the Resource Industry. During this period he has performed roles as legal counsel, geologist and commercial manager for several major and mid cap Australian mining companies and as founding director for a series of successful ASX-listed companies. Mr Hill was also a founder of Westoria Capital, a Corporate Advisory and Consulting group that also maintains and manages a private mineral resources investment fund seeking investments in emerging mineral resource projects which have the potential to become world class.
During his time in the resource industry Mr Hill has gained a diversity of practical geological experience as a mine based and exploration geologist in a range of commodities and rock types. In his commercial and legal roles, he has been involved in project generation and evaluation, acquisition and joint venture negotiation, company secretarial functions, mining law and land access issues as well as local and overseas marketing and fund raising.
Mr Hill is currently a Commercial Director at Westoria Capital and non-executive director for ASX listed Centaurus Metals Limited, a Brazilian based iron ore developer with a resource base in excess of 250 Mt.
His qualifications include B.Juris, LLB., B.Sc. (Geology, First Class Honours) from University of Western Australia and ASIA from the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FinSIA). His professional associations include membership of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and Past President and director of the University of Western Australia Geology Alumni and Geology Foundation respectively.
Michael Fowler - Managing Director/CEO
Michael Fowler is a geologist with 22 years industry experience in the resources industry. He graduated from Curtin University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree majoring in geology and in 1999 received a Master of Science majoring in Ore Deposit Geology from the University of Western Australia. On graduating he explored for gold and base metals for Dominion Mining in the Murchison, Gascoyne and Eastern Goldfields Regions of Western Australia.
In 1996, Mr Fowler joined Croesus Mining NL and was made Exploration Manager in 1997. He oversaw all exploration for Croesus until June 2004 and was then appointed Business Development Manager and subsequently Managing Director in October 2005. Mr Fowler has overseen the discovery and development of several significant gold deposits. He has been intimately involved in a number of significant acquisitions and project reviews. Mr Fowler has recently worked as the Exploration Manager for Castle Minerals in Ghana, and was a Non-Executive Director of Azure Minerals Limited until August 2007.
Darren Gordon - Non-Executive Director
Darren Gordon has more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian and international resource sector, having held senior financial, corporate and executive roles with a number of ASX-listed exploration and mining companies. During his career he has been involved in the acquisition, financing, development and operation of both iron ore and gold projects in Australia and Brazil.
Mr Gordon is currently Managing Director of Centaurus Metals (ASX: CTM), a position he has held since 2009. In this role he has led the evaluation of a portfolio of iron ore projects in south-eastern Brazil including the completion of Feasibility Studies and approval work to supply a suite of high grade products into the domestic market. In response to the sharp fall in iron ore prices in 2015, Mr Gordon implemented a successful diversification strategy for Centaurus outside of the iron ore sector.
Before joining Centaurus, Mr Gordon was the Chief Financial Officer at Gindalbie Metals (ASX: GBG) for nine years. During the first half of his tenure, he was part of the team that successfully acquired, funded and developed the 50,000oz-a-year Minjar Gold Project in WA which operated successfully up until 2004 when economic reserves were depleted.
Craig Bradshaw - Non-Executive Director
Craig Bradshaw has more than 22 years’ experience in the Australian and international mining industry, and brings high-level operational and corporate experience to the Company’s board which will be invaluable as it continues to add value to its existing portfolio of WA gold projects and pursue new growth opportunities.
A graduate of the world-renowned WA School of Mines, Mr Bradshaw is a mining engineer who has held numerous senior operational and executive roles with a range of companies and spanning several different commodities.
He was Chief Operating Officer for Saracen Mineral Holdings from 2013 to 2017, a period of rapid growth for the leading mid-tier gold producer during which he oversaw the delivery of the Feasibility Study on the Thunderbox Gold Project and the commencement of the Karari underground mine.
Prior to joining Saracen, Mr Bradshaw was Chief Operating Officer for Inter Mining and Navigator Resources, Operations Manager at St Ives Gold Mines for Gold Fields Australia, Mining Manager for Albidon at the Munali Nickel Project in Zambia and Chief Operating Officer for Fox Resources. He also worked for WMC Limited at the Perseverance Nickel Mine and Leinster Nickel Operations.
Mr Bradshaw is currently CEO of Adaman Resources, a privately owned resource investment company.
Geoff James - Company Secretary
Geoff James is an experienced resources executive with over 20 years’ experience in senior management roles.
